Padma Lakshmi’s New Jewelry Line

Padma Lakshmi’s New Jewelry Line

A week ago, while browsing through the Emmy Awards 2010 red carpet photos, I knew of three women who already had a spot in our Best Dressed List in the bag. While January Jones and Clare Danes captivated me with their dresses, it is Padma Lakshmi's oh-so-unique statement necklace that drew my attention. Very cleverly, Lakshmi let the necklace outshine her simple, but elegant navy strapless dress.

The necklace, I immediately discovered, is dubbed as Masai necklace and it is only one part of her amazing and vast, new jewelry line. What I like most about the necklace is that very nonchalantly, it infuses the look with exoticism whilst keeping the ethnic trend in the modern realm. As a matter ...

Spotlight: Katie Hillier Jewelery

Spotlight: Katie Hillier Jewelery

Katie Hillier has been responsible for the successful accessory lines of Marc by Marc Jacobs and Luella, so when in 2009 she launched her own jewelery line, we knew it will be playful and luxurious. The line consists of unique animal pendant paperclips - 18-carat gold wire twists, shaped into woodland creatures with a diamond eye available in a rainbow of colors.

In September Hillier will be unveiling a silver jewelery line.

The jewelery is sold at Colette, in France and Matches in London - both available online. If you're in London you can also buy it at Dover Street Market.

Celebrities love Tom Ford’s Nikita sunglasses

Celebrities love Tom Ford’s Nikita sunglasses

I've added these fierce cat-eye sunglasses to our Coveting section a while ago, citing that these are becoming the new 'it' sunglasses. And voilà! Scarlett Johanson, Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Kelly Osbourne (one of the firsts to rock Alexander Wang+Linda Farrow cat-eye sunglasses last year), Debra Messing and Dorota 'Doda' Rabczewska, all looove them some Tom Ford cat-eye goodness, that is these Nikita sunglasses. Who is this Doda person you probably ask yourself, while admiring the perfect curves of these frames? Well, she's arguably the most successful Polish pop star to date, and I included her because I couldn't pass on the opportunity to mention to a woman that calls herself Doda Elektroda.

So here you, quick, before they become ...

Not feeling the new The Row sunglasses

Not feeling the new The Row sunglasses

Usually I'm a sucker for anything The Row. What can I say, I love those twins' aesthetic and I was really looking forward to see their new sunglasses collection in collaboration with Linda Farrow. But I'm really not liking these. They look ... clunky?

If you really must have them, you'll need to cough up $325 at Barneys New York or Bergdorf Goodman.
