Seventies Inspired Trousers In Elle April 2011 Editorial “A Separates Peace”

Elle April 2011 issue brings us "A Separates Peace" - an editorial showcasing the best of Seventies trousers' trends. Wide-legged, high-waisted and draped. Throw in the bright colors trend and you are in for one exciting editorial.

Jenny Sinkaberg was photographed by KT Auleta with FrankReps' Chiho Omae on the makeup. The editorial features 70's inspired pants by Giorgio Armani, Max Mara, Marc Jacobs, Escada, Brioni, Salvatore Ferragamo, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.

Bar Refaeli In Allure April 2011 Editorial “Over Easy”

Bar Refaeli, Sports Illustrated model and Leonardo DiCaprio's longtime girlfriend, appears in next month's issue of Allure magazine. Refaeli was photographed by Carter Smith with FrankReps' Yumi on makeup for the Allure April 2011 editorial.

The editorial, "Over Easy", showcases ways to do the shirtdress look with a Spring season ease. Personally, I'm more excited about the leopard Giambattista Valli sandals (final image) and Refaeli's effortless sultriness, than an overdone casual shirtdress look.

Gisele Bündchen On Vogue Paris April 2011 Cover – Emmanuelle Alt’s First

VogueParisLive twitted it's forthcoming Vogue Paris April 2011 cover - Emmanuelle Alt's first official issue. Photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, a rather virginal looking Gisele Bündchen wears a white broderie Anglaise Dolce & Gabbana dress.

I was hoping Emmanuelle Alt would continue Bündchen's recently found edginess from Balenciaga Spring 2011 campaign, unfortunately that was not the case. Emmanuelle Alt's first ever Vogue Paris cover will forever be remembered as vanilla.

What do you think about the cover?

Nicholas Kirkwood Designs A $7,000 Shoe For Fall 2011

Nicholas Kirkwood Designs A $7,000 Shoe For Fall 2011

Nicholas Kirkwood Fall 2011 shoes collection was unveiled by the designer a few days ago in Paris. Standing out were the Moroccan slipper inspired sandals. Rising high on Kirkwood's classic platform, the upper and heel were made of fabric embroidered with gold thread, trimmed with gold-colored leather. Priced near a hefty $7,000 mark, one might be temped to think they were actually made gold.

Miu Miu Fall 2011: ‘It’ Cat-Eye Sunglasses, Oversize Clutches and Glitter

Miu Miu Fall 2011: ‘It’ Cat-Eye Sunglasses, Oversize Clutches and Glitter

While normally Miu Miu collections serve us with an over-the-top dose of young playfulness, this time Miu Miu Fall 2011 was all about vintage coquettish chic. One could consider vintage dressing as adult, remembering a mother's style in the Fifties, but there was something very young and fresh about the collection. No dowdiness in sight.

Miu Miu Fall 2011 served us with familiar vintage hourglass-shaped dresses and coats, updated into the now with oversize elements like huge shoulders, outsize collars and fur stoles used as belts.

The best part of the collection were the accessories. The bags were all oversize gold frame clutches, made out of leather, suede or fur and those cat-eye sunglasses, cropped at the tip, will surely become an ...

Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 Gives Us The Perfect Wedding Dress

Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 Gives Us The Perfect Wedding Dress

Perhaps what started the rumor that Sarah Burton will be designing Kate Middleton's wedding dress is the insiders' prior knowledge that Burton will be sending wedding dresses as the final looks for Alexander McQueen Fall 2011.

In true McQueen spirit that Burton so skillfully continues, none of them were banal or traditional. Not quite white and highly textural, one dress was even harnessed with a black belt/necklace type contraption. Perhaps it was wishful thinking that caused those Kate Middleton rumors, as who wouldn't want to see a future princess (pardon the monarchical term) walk down the isle in an edgy gown.

United Nude Spring 2011 Shoes Bring Architecture To Your Feet

United Nude Spring 2011 Shoes Bring Architecture To Your Feet

I like United Nude shoes because their price point is very (really, very) reasonable for a high-quality, well-designed pair of shoes. Created by architect Rem D Koolhaas and shoemaker Galahad Clark, their designs can get too conceptual at times, but in their collections you can always find wearable shoes that will stand out in the crowd, day or night.

For Spring 2011, United Nude brings us a fresh batch of hits. Whether it's the wood paneled Abstract wedge ($365) - an answer to Finsk I suppose, the more tame Block heel ($315) or the flat ($185) - featuring that same block detail, you can find a pair of shoes for any occasion, but with a twist.
