Watch Mark Fast Fall 2011 Show Live Stream

Watch the Mark Fast Fall 2011 runway show stream live here on Fashion Lover. Tune in today, February 21, at 1pm EST.

The Canadian designer Mark Fast made a splash a couple of seasons ago when he sent plus-size models down the runway wearing his famously scant body-con knits. While his Spring 2011 collection was lacking in surprise, you can never know what to expect of him when new season comes.

The live stream is over. Watch the recorded video.

Backstage At Ivana Helsinki Fall 2011 Runway Show

Backstage At Ivana Helsinki Fall 2011 Runway Show

Paola Suhonen brought back her signature label Ivana Helsinki to New York Fashion Week for another season. With the previous show running an hour late, all signs pointed that backstage should have been chaos, yet no such thing occurred. By the time I got there the models had their beehive hair and charcoal black eyes done and ready for the runway. L'Oreal's Edward Tricomi, was armed with hairspray and still fixing up an occasional beehive. The models, already in full makeup and hair, were mostly looking for ways to amuse themselves until the show starts; taking pictures of each other, making funny faces at photographers. There was a feeling of ease in the air.

If Spring 2011 had a strong nautical ...

Mila Kunis On W Magazine March 2011 Cover Wearing Chanel

Mila Kunis is on the cover of forthcoming W Magazine March 2011 issue wearing a Chanel Spring 2011 tulle and feathers coat. March 2011 cover was photographed by Craig McDean.

Black Chanel tulle and feathers very much befit the still promoted Black Swan movie, however that pink bra leaves much to be desired. Perhaps a more expensive looking lingerie would work better on a cover. La Perla?

Catty Details At Anna Sui Fall 2011 Collection Runway Show

Anna Sui sent a Ballets Russes inspired Fall 2011 collection down the runway. Besides the gorgeous embellishments and prints there was also quite the animal world. Butterfly belts, furs and to top it all - cat hats. Quite literally. For Fall 2011, Sui referenced Ballets Russes only in details, which were aplenty, while avoiding the banal silhouette of Peasant tops and full skirts thus creating a very colorful and quirky collection.

The Blonds Fall 2011 Collection Is Absolutely Fabulous

The Blonds Fall 2011 Collection Is Absolutely Fabulous

It might be Year of the Rabbit for most of us, but on The Blonds Fall 2011 runway it was the Year of the Dragon which, incidentally, is next winter.

When the show opens with a Dragon dance act, I knew I was in for a Far East (The Orient, if you prefer the more colonial term) experience. There was a little bit of everything - Kimonos, Thai head pieces, Yin and Yang and Karate details - in flowing silks embellished with fringe, beads and crystals by the pound. No doubt, we have a good year of stage looks ahead of us.

Nimue Smit In Harper’s Bazaar March 2011 “The New Shapes” Editorial

Nimue Smit In Harper’s Bazaar March 2011 “The New Shapes” Editorial

When it comes Spring 2011 collections, magazines love featuring those who are loudest - Prada's monkeys and bananas, Proenza Schouler's neon lace and Gucci's color blocking - to name a few. But let's not forget that Spring 2011 New York runways were awash with white. Cutting back on excess and rediscovering minimalism.

"The New Shapes" is an editorial in Harper’s Bazaar March 2011 issue created by editor Brana Wolf with the help of set designer Peter Klein. Featuring the model Nimue Smit and photographed by Lachlan Bailey, the editorial shines light on minimal and subtle looks by the likes of Celine, Chloe, Reed Krakoff, Calvin Klein, Derek Lam, Balenciaga and Narciso Rodriguez.

And if minimalism is what you are after, you absolutely ...

Tibi Fall 2011 Collection Is All About Dresses And Ease

Tibi Fall 2011 Collection Is All About Dresses And Ease

Amy Smilovic has really outdone herself with the new Tibi Fall 2011 collection and even a model's fall on the runway towards the end of the show couldn't spoil that.

Seeing a model fall on the runway really makes you skip a heartbeat. What will she do, how will she save this? In Tibi Fall 2011 runway case - she will smile, take off the culprit shoes and keep walking without loosing face. Wearing an asymmetric mid-calf length dress in a red-and-black print has an effect on you - that of ease and confidence.

But enough about the mishap. The collection, as it was inadvertently proven, is about easy chic and quirky luxury. Or is quirky chic and easy luxury? All of ...

Asos, the European fashion online retailer that recently launched a US website, created a 70s inspired collection - Solaris - for Spring 2011. Solaris offers everything we like about the 70s - flowing maxi skirts, pleats, platform wedges and chunky jewelry. All in the earthy 70s color-palette of cream, beige, navy and mustard; all in the price range of $30 to $200.

Altuzarra And Vena Cava Fall 2011 Bring Back Grunge And Parkas

Altuzarra And Vena Cava Fall 2011 Bring Back Grunge And Parkas

Both Vena Cava Fall 2011 and Altuzarra Fall 2011 collections looked back fondly into the 90's and found grunge as their inspiration. In two quite different ways.

For Fall 2011 Altuzarra looked over to the other side of the pond and embraced Kate Moss' look back when she had Johnny Depp by her side. Back when she was wearing chunky and boxy parkas over slight body hugging dresses. It is that contradiction that set the tone for the collection. Besides the parkas, the collection also had a great selection of the more constructed wool coats. Argyle pattern was used rather abstractly throughout the collection - as print or knitted. Satin dresses and tops were cut on the bias, clinging to the ...
